The 10 Types of People You'll Meet at the Gym

When we hit the gym, we meet all sorts of people, and the thought can really be fun and exciting. If you are decided to hit the gym more regularly, expect to meet these types of people:


  1. The Instagrammer

This is the person who spends more time taking photos of himself at the gym than doing an actual workout. There are lots of them, so you’ll surely get used to them.


  1. The Confu-cious

These types are easy to spot as they look confused and conscious (sometimes scared). Mostly, they are newbies and unfamiliar with gym equipment.


  1. The Spartan

This guy always grunts or shouts (as if he's a Spartan ready to attack) while lifting weights, making sure that everyone in the room knows he’s exerting effort.


  1. The Territorial

They leave their equipment sweaty as though marking the equipment and telling other gym goers "This one is mine, I have marked my territory".


  1. The Cardio Beast

This is the person who you will always see on a treadmill, sprinting all the time.


  1. The Concert Performer

If you hear someone who sings his heart out to his playlist while working out, you've spotted a concert performer.


  1. The "Trainer"

This guy feels the need to give out tips and pointers on how to make your workout more effective.


  1. The Doctor

Somewhat similar to the "trainer", this guy makes sure to tell you what to consume and not to consume to get the most out of your workout.


  1. The Walker

Instead of running on the treadmill, this person simply walks on it.


  1. The Show-off

This person goes to the gym with full "natural" makeup on and wears next to nothing clothes to show off her body.


Whether they make you laugh or cringe, remember, there is always one of these people in every gym. They’re all unique in their own way, and depending on your preference, they could be either fun or unnerving. Whatever the case, just focus on your own thing and try to enjoy all the way.
